"I'll get you out of your head," Chris offered. "I'm very good at that."

The wolf was prowling, circling Chris like prey in his mind.

Stepping back, he smiled and began to unbutton his own shirt. "Tell me more. Tell me what else you like."

"Oh, that would be lovely," he replied brightly. "I believe my Thursday is free for dinner. Or late drinks any night that works for you."

"Thursday's fine. I don't have plans- I think. I'll check," Val shrugged, making it clear he wasn't good at planning.

Chris, on the other hand, knew his calender back and forth and even without it in his hand he had most of his appointments committed to memory- as well as when he'd need to rise, catch the tube, exactly how long it took to walk from his stop to his meeting- he was far too attuned to schedules.

"We'll talk later in the week," he said but had already mentally blocked off Thursday night, all of it, for Val.

"Mmm, for now, why don't you let me wash your back?" Val asked, grinning that bright and toothy grin of his.

He didn't reply, only turned and rounded his shoulders to offer up his back. The water felt good as the heat soaked into his skin and he craved Val's touch. He wasn't sure one night would be enough to satisfy him completely.

"Maybe over dinner we can talk more. Get to know all there is to know."

"We can do that now, if you like. Ask me anything you want," Val offered, taking up a sponge and some lightly scented body wash as he spoke.

"Oh, you've put me on the spot," Chris chuckled. "I don't know. I don't know what I'd like to know. Tell me...oh, I don't know. Where did you go to school?"

"Don't judge me too harshly, but Eton, and then Cambridge. I studied Art History, much to my father's disapproval," he laughed.

"What did he want you to study? Finance?" he asked, practically purring as he chased Val's fingers as they caressed his back.

"Anything but art, really," Val laughed, letting his hands roam a little lower. "He got over it though. He quite likes my museum of oddities."

"I would very much like to come and see it," Chris said. "I'll find the time to give it the attention it deserves."

"Then let's have our meal there," Val shrugged. "I'll close it for the night and have one of my mother's chefs make us a meal."

[drchriswhite]

"Really? Val, that would be wonderful," he replied, quite taken with the idea. And, too, he was struck by how casually Val offered it, as if he'd done the same thing a dozen times.

"Just tell me this... Do you like sushi?" he asked with a smile.

[drchriswhite]

"I love sushi," he replied, feeling warm under the weight of Val's flirtation. It was likely as natural as breathing for the man but Chris took it quite personally and was delighted by the attention.

"Then you'll have the finest London has to offer," Val said, looking pleased with himself as he rinsed them both off.

"Come on, let's dry off and see if your delivery has arrived yet. Then we can settle in for the night."

It was so spontaneous for him but he was far from panic. /val seemed to have everything under control.

"Yes, lovely," he agreed.

"Fancy a night cap? Something strong?" he asked as he stepped out of the shower and offered Chris a towel. "I like a drink before bed."

[drchriswhite]

"Oh, yes. I think I'd like that," Chris said as he dried himself off. He felt perfectly natural standing nude in front of the other man. His tattoos were for him, he didn't show them off and was a bit protective of them, but this was not at all uncomfortable.

"Thank you for all this. You're so wonderful with dinner and the delivery and everything," he said happily.

Val waved him off, shaking his head.

"It's no trouble. I like taking care of my friends, in hopes that if I ever need it, they will take care of me."

"A reasonable request," Chris replied, keeping close to Val as they dried and moved out to get clothes. The delivery had indeed come and Chris swallowed his pills down dry, then followed Val to the drinks.

"What do you drink? I'm not very adventurous, I'm afraid. A brandy every now and again..."

I drink most things, but if Brandy is your poison, let's open a bottle of that," Val replied easily, perfectly happy to drink most anything.

He could not have felt more pampered, he was sure. Chris nodded and waited for Val to sort out the drinks. He smiled at the label, though he wasn't surprised the man had the best bottle available.

"I have had the most amazing night tonight, Val. I'm so very glad we met. So pleased."

"As am I, Chris," Val assured him, smiling brightly at that as he poured them each a glass.

Chris took his and then impetuously reached to touch Val's cheek, cradling his jaw. He kissed him sweetly with his eyes closed so he could focus on the sensation.

Then he pulled away and lifted his glass.

"To a lovely new friendship."
